| Whoa. Xanga. Considering it's been almost a year since my last entry and I do want to write a blog even though no one checks xanga, I shall use this opportunity as a starting point.
I'm leaving the country tomorrow and it's been a while. I mean, I went to Mexico last year but really Mexico has become tourist country and so it doesn't feel nor have the same experience as when you actually leave the country. Going to Europe for the first time since I was 10, I think. It'll be interesting. I love going to another country, experiencing new cultures, new systems and new ways of life. We live in a country that is ultimately lazy and cut to our wants and so it'll be nice to step out of my own comfort zone. I have some goals during my vacation. I used to just go into my vacation just being whatever and enjoying my time, but during this vacation, I have made some personal goals that I want to accomplish.
1. I want to see every city we dock at (cruising...I know, not the Europe "backpacking" experience) and walk at least 1-2 miles per city. 2. Read 2 books. One Christian book and one miscellaneous book. I'm thinking The Great Controversy and either The Road or a Harry Potter book (quite ironic). 3. Buy souvenirs for people. Won't be much especially with the exchange rate but hopefully I can buy some...it just depends who. Haha. 4. Meet one European girl and stay in contact with her past my vacation (this is a must). 5. Take pictures with random strangers at famous European sites. 6. Make some important decisions by the end of the trip and get work done for stuff (very specific, I know). 7. Keep the Sabbath. 8. Work out everyday besides walking around (Basketball on the top deck...must). 9. Watch one European soccer game (the most difficult one to accomplish. Wish me luck). 10. For at least one meal a day, try not to eat meat. 11. Learn 3 historical facts from every city (as a History buff, this is something that I should do). 12. Find one Chicago Cubs or Chicago Bears fan in Europe and take a picture with the person (bringin' my gear). 13. Eat some sort of European food at every city. 14. Try something new that I would never do in the United States (this will be interesting). 15. Watch the Chicago Blackhawks play once throughout my trip.
These are my 15 goals. Hopefully I can accomplish all, but if I can accomplish 10-12, I'd be happy.
Peace my few Xanga users.

| What Is Going On In Sports Entry
Yes, I know the last thing I should talk about on xanga is sports because I get way too carried away, but hey, what can I say.
Chicago Cubs What else can I say about the Chicago Cubs? They are the best team record wise in the majors, they lead the league in run differential and everything looks good for the Cubs. Some might be worried about the injuries coming in (Soriano, Zambrano, Johnson and possibly Fukudome) but every good team needs to work with adversity and this is where the bench shines which the Cubs have had.
Surprises: I have two so far which is the pitching of Dempster and the resurgence of Jim Edmonds. Dempster is becoming and accepting the role of our ace right now with Zambrano out and his dominance at home is ridiculous. I've seen this guy pitch 2-3 times and it's always fun to watch. I'm not going to lie, I was very anti-Dempster into our rotation but he's definitely shut me up. Now with Edmonds, when he was released, inside my head I was saying that it would be crazy if Edmonds came here. If you are not a Cubs or Cardinals fan, he is pretty much public enemy no. 1 in front of A.J. Pierzynski. When he signed, I had mixed feelings because knowing what he did to the Cubs, I know he would be a great asset but then again, what he did to the Cubs when he was a Cardinal was very painful and I hated that man. Now he's hit 4 home runs in his last 4 games and has become one of our offensive power hitters. This is just nuts.
Worries: No matter how good the Cubs are playing, you must always worry ex. 1969 Cubs season. I have a couple of worries with this team especially our rotation. It seems like Ted Lilly has not gone back to his last season form and he will likely stay at the low 4.00 era and as our no. 2 or no. 3 starter, his era needs to be lower. Marquis scares me when he pitches and even though Gallagher has been a surprise, we need another dominant starter, hopefully a lefty. Either C.C. Sabathia or Rich Harden will make me happy.
My other big worry is even though we have the best record in baseball, the Cardinals are still right behind us. They were suppose to be horrible this year with absolutely no pitching and for some reason, they are only 4.5 games behind us. They just had Albert Pujols in the DL with another 10 pitchers with them and to see them not falter is worrying me. The entire division is better and as you can see our road record is very sub par (16-20).
NBA Draft The Bulls received the greatest gift since Michael Jordan in getting the No. 1 pick in this draft. The arguement between Rose and Beasley has been quite suffocating and I am torn. Obviously my heart says Rose as I've seen him play a few times against our high school and I've followed him through his freshman year at Memphis. His skills, his penetration and his athleticism is ridiculous and I'd love to see our home grown talent come back to Chicago. However, my head says Beasley. I think Beasley is the low post scorer that the Bulls have wanted for the last 2-3 years since Curry left and even though he is only 6-7, I see him being a prototype of Karl Malone. So I'll be anxiously waiting tonight and see what's going to happen. I think Derrick Rose is the better fit with our team and he would help our players more, especially our down low players but if we choose Beasley (which I don't think we will), I'll be okay with it.
Chicago Bears No hope. 6-10.
Fresno State Baseball That was fun to watch. If you enjoy baseball, you need to see what they just accomplished.
I don't know why I'm here, I've got so much to do. Peace Xanga. (The bold is stuck so I have to use it)
